PAIWASTOON is Afghan-International company with a focus on developing sustainable solutions that Make IT Work For Afghanistan.  We specialize in open source technology, localization and online applications.  We seek opportunities for technology to have a positive effect on as many Afghans as possible, as sustainably as possible.

We build the capacity of our local team towards the aim of creating a sustainable locally led company.  We believe for IT to succeed that we need:

• Localization - Software should be usuable in the national languages of Afghanistan (Dari and Pashto) - And our website will soon be completely available as normal in Dari and Pashto.
• Open Source - Software should be freely modifiable to meet Afghan needs without license fees that are wholly unsustainable compared to GDP.
• Cost effective solutions for the local mass market - our products are priced to meet the needs of the local market, reasonably, fairly, transparently and sustainable.
